
Work Away is an extension of the provisions of the Remote Work Regulations and gives the possibility of working 100% remotely, also from European countries (European Economic Area) for 15 days a year (used in a maximum of 3 'instalments' counted in weeks).
We are not talking about a typical workation, when we are on vacation and working on stand-by.
This is a standard form of work: 8 hours a day, at regular hours (according to the regulations, we start between 8am and 10am), with internet access and being on the phone full time.
The benefit in this case is the ability to work outside Poland and not having to come to the office 3 times a week at the requested time.
The request has to be submitted through the Neula tool (Neula Manual). It must be first approved by your supervisor and then confirmed by HR.

A similar solution is present with our colleagues in Germany, so we were keen to make the approach more consistent. In addition, during the introduction of the remote working regulations there were questions about the possibility of working from outside Poland, so there is an opportunity to address this.

You have to fill in an application in the Neula - Loyalty Partner system, which, after approval by your supervisor, is sent to and processed by the HR department.
The Work Away is available to persons employed by PAYBACK under an employment agreement.
The requesting employee will receive a notification from the Neula system.
You must have working conditions (mobile coverage, internet). For travel outside Poland, additionally have travel insurance and have an EHIC.
Within a given year, a maximum of 15 working days, to be used in a maximum of 3 'instalments' counted in weeks.
Working hours during Work Away do not change. Work starts between 8 and 10 and ends after 8 hours respectively.
The supervisor has the right to "recall" such employee from Work Away. Thus, the employee goes on leave.
As with holidays or 'basic' remote working, this is a possibility in business-justified cases.
The A1 certificate is issued to confirm which social security legislation the person submitting it is subject to and to certify whether the person is not subject to the contributory legislation of another country.
The European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) is the document that entitles you to free basic medical care during your stay abroad. The card is recognized in the Member States of the European Union and EFTA (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland). An application for an EHIC card may be submitted by anyone who pays health insurance premiums to the NFZ, a family member of such a person registered with the Fund, as well as an uninsured person, but also a person protected by law (e.g. uninsured pregnant women). The EHIC card is issued free of charge. To obtain a card, you need to apply for an EHIC. This can be done in several different ways (at a NFZ branch, by e-mail, by post, via the ePUAP portal or the Internet Patient Account.
The EEA consists of: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden.
In this case, there is no work available and leave of absence (paid or unpaid) must be taken.
Of course, if you have the Enel Med package you have travel insurance in addition.
The application must be submitted at least 2 weeks before the planned start of the Work Away.
In this case, your application should be accepted by the local host manager.
