Anti-Corruption Program

Bribery and corruption are harmful wherever they occur, prevent fair competition, and are often linked to organized crime and money laundering.

American Express and its employees have a long standing commitment to abide by all applicable laws that exist in the countries where we conduct business. The American Express brand is founded on trust and integrity and any form of corruption or bribery is in complete conflict with our values.
American Express has policies in place which reflect at a minimum our statutory requirements, including the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and the UK Bribery Act. The Company has a comprehensive Anti-Corruption Program, including training, controls and procedures for all employees, vendors, agents and consultants, all of which is overseen by the Global Anti-Corruption Office.
American Express supports a culture of transparency and has clear whistle-blowing procedures should any employees suspect that bribery or corruption may have taken place.
